Conner and Ashley's Wedding

Conner and Ashley finally got married this past weekend! The whole weekend was so much fun and everything went smoothly. It was great to see them get married, plus see lots of family and friends we rarely get to see.

(Sorry Amy, but this was the only picture I had of us 4!)

Kurt and me at the Rehearsal Dinner. It was at Aldridge Gardens and was so much fun and so beautiful! Great job Amy! :-)

Jack and the Groom! Such studs!

Jack taught himself how to climb stairs pretty quickly, and that kept him occupied for a while!

The happy couple leaving!

We had so much fun this weekend, and we are so happy for Conner and Ashley! We love y'all and can't wait for you to see how awesome married life is! :-)

We also want to thank Jack's Papa and Sherbo for keeping him Friday night, and his Mama Becky and Daddy Mer for keeping him Saturday night. Y'all were such a big help and we really appreciate everything!

Baby Hunter Futrell

Last Monday morning on August 23rd , Baby Hunter Stephen Futrell was born to our good friends John and Shelley Futrell. He was 8 lbs 6 oz and 20 inches long, and just beautiful! Daddy Mer, Jack, and I got to go up to the hospital to see him on Tuesday, and mama and baby were doing just great! I even got to hold him for a little while and he was so precious, and he even stuck his tongue out at me a few times playing with me! :-)

4 Wonderful Years!

Kurt and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary today! We cannot believe we have been married for 4 years already! We are still so happy and so in love with each other, and even more so now that we share our life with our sweet Jack Jack, who is also 14 months old today! Time sure does fly when we think about getting married 4 years ago, and also how Jack is growing so fast!

We celebrated by going out to dinner together to Olive Garden, then getting dessert at Treat Your Self yogurt bar. We appreciate Granna and Poppy for watching our sweet boy so we could have a date night!!

At Olive Garden. The waiter even told us he thought we were a cute couple! :-)

The beautiful 2 dozen roses Kurt gave me! So sweet and romantic!

Down memory lane... Here are a few pictures from our actual wedding day 4 years ago! What a fun day! Thanks again to our families who helped make it such a wonderful and memorable day for us! We love y'all for allowing us to start our lives together in such a special way!

Whitney and William's Wedding

A couple of weekends ago my cousin Whitney got married in Montgomery, and Jack and I were able to go down for it! We were so glad we got to ride with Papa and Sherbo and spend more time with them.

We got down there a little early and were able to see Whitney before she went down the aisle! She looked gorgeous and was so happy to be marrying William!

The ceremony started out beautiful, but Jack and I only made it until right after she walked down the aisle, even with a full stash of goldfish and yogurt melts! He was ready to get down and walk, so we left the sanctuary and I let him roam around a bit. We did come across an area behind the sanctuary where we could sit and listen to the ceremony, so that was neat!

We had so much fun at the reception, and Jack even danced a little bit! He mostly just walked around, but every now and then he would feel the beat of the music and would stop to "bounce"! Thanks to the help of Papa and Sherbo, I was able to sit down for a few minutes and enjoy some food and cake while they chased Jack around!

We had a blast being with my parents, my sister and her family, my brother and his family, my grandmother, plus my other cousins and aunt and uncle.

We are so happy for Whitney and William and wish them a life of happiness together!

William's wedding cake! He is a huge Auburn fan, but Whitney is a huge Alabama fan! Hopefully they can work it out! :-)

Where is Jack?

Jack loves to play "Where is Jack?" or "Peek-a-boo" now. He is so funny when he tries to cover himself up to hide, because he doesn't always do it correctly! :-)

A Few Updates...

The last few updates have been a lot of fun and sweet videos, but I felt I needed to do an update on some other things Jack has going on right now...

He is such a big boy now and doesn't drink out of a bottle at night anymore, meaning no bottles at all now! He loves his new sippy cup and does really well with it!

Also, Jack is talking a lot more these days, but it comes out as babbling! :-) He still gets out "Mama", "ball", "pup pup", "more", and has said "Dada" a couple of times.

Jack is also a charmer whenever we are around people! We could be at the grocery store or at a restaurant and he still wants to have attention from everyone in there! He waves at everyone (even on demand), and of course smiles at everyone. We can't go anywhere without people stopping to say hey to him (after he practically begs them to!) :-)

Speaking of smiling, he has 15 teeth now! He has some major chompers! He has the cutest smile with all of those teeth, but that means he's been teething for 11 months now, poor guy. Hopefully he will be done soon!

Jack is also starting to recognize the Auburn fight song. We will sing it to him and clap our hands, and he claps back and grins for the entire song! Sometimes he will "sing" along with us (just an "ahhh" sound when he sings), and he gets upset when we stop! He must know it's almost football season!

He still does his "pitch a fit" act on demand, too. We will say, "Jack, pitch a fit!" and he will lift up his hands, make fists, and start to tense up like he's getting mad! His face turns red and everything, then he will laugh afterwards! It's so cute!

Speaking of laughing, he also has a laugh he does now that almost sounds like an evil laugh from a movie! Hilarious!

Well, it's obvious our days aren't dull! He definitely keeps me occupied and I love every minute of it. Here are some pictures of some of the things he's got going on in his life right now:

His new nighttime sippy cup. It's tall with no handles like a bottle, so the transition was easier than we'd originally thought.

Playing the drums like Daddy

Even though he can walk on his own now, he still loves to use his walker while roaming around the house

Since he's learned to walk, he's gotten a couple of bumps on his head. It's hard work learning to walk! :-(

Just driving around!

His camo crocs he loves so much!

Sleeping with his paci and froggy! His two best friends!

Fun trip to Bass Pro Shop with Daddy

Helping mama clean out the tupperware cabinet

Rearranging his drawers

He still loves bath time so much! He climbs, splashes, and even dances in there! It's a good thing he even gets bathed!

Second haircut today! He really looks like a big boy now.

He's of course still walking around everywhere and almost starting to run a little now. He still dances whenever he hears music, especially when the infamous "I like to move it, move it" comes on. :-) He's such a happy baby and we are having so much fun with him! He entertains us so much, but also makes us realize how wonderful he is and how blessed we are to be his parents!
