A-Day 2011

Auburn's A-Day was 2 weekends ago, so I apologize for just now getting this post up, but our laptop quit working for a few days last week, and then the horrible tornadoes came through this week. We lost power for a couple of days, but we are very fortunate that was all that happened. So many people lost their lives, loved ones, homes, and more this week, and we will continue to keep them in our prayers.

I wasn't able to go to A-Day that weekend since I was at a girls' weekend at the lake, but Daddy still wanted to go and take Jack, so they headed on without me.

That Saturday morning, Daddy, Granna, and Jack started their day off at Guthrie's where they heard some former football players would be to take pictures and sign autographs. When they got there they couldn't believe all the people who were there! Jack even got his picture taken with some very important and famous people!

After they met a few more players and got a few more autographs, they headed over to Kinnucan's where they heard even more players would be!

Here Jack is with THE Nick Fairley, former Auburn defensive tackle, now a 1st round NFL draft pick to the Detroit Lions!

Kinnucan's also had a blow-up football game, so of course Jack had to show off his throwing skills!

After they left Kinnucan's, they walked around campus a little bit, then finally headed to the stadium to watch the game. A fan of Jack's daddy's Auburn blog had some extra tickets to his suite for the game, so they got to enjoy the suite life for the day! Granna of course came along, too, plus Uncle Conner and Aunt Ashley also got to join! I'm so upset I missed out, even though I had a blast at the lake with the girls, but I've never been to a suite before!

I'm guessing this is his "Are we really getting to stay in here?" face! :-)

The game didn't get over until after 4, so once they got to the car to head to Granna's, it was 4:30! Jack still hadn't taken a nap, so you can tell in this picture he's pretty exhausted!

He eventually took a nap, just a late one, and woke up around 7 ready to go again! :-) I'm so glad everyone had a great time, and we appreciate the nice family for giving up some of their suite tickets for the day! It's always a good day, too, when Auburn wins, and they of course did that day! :-)
