Yes, Easter was a couple of weeks ago, so again, sorry I'm behind on my posts! I will have lots of cute pictures on this one to make up for it, though.
Our Easter week started the Wednesday before at Baby Praise at church. We have been going to Baby Praise since Jack was 7 months old, and it gets more and more fun to go now that he knows all the songs and sings and dances to them! He's definitely a hoot to watch there! :) We sang half the songs as normal this time because we needed enough time for the Easter Egg Hunt! We had to do it inside because it was pouring down rain outside, but that didn't stop us from having fun!
"If you're happy and you know it clap your hands!"
Ready to find those eggs! Last Easter he couldn't walk, so he is ready to go this year!
Hanging out with his friend Waylon after the egg hunt
Enjoying his very first Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!
Running back to the car in the rain!
Back in the car, safe from the rain, but still a little wet!
Saturday we had Granna, Poppy, Uncle Clay, Auntie Em, Uncle Con Con, and Aunt Ashley over for lunch to celebrate Easter. Uncle Con Con hid eggs for Jack here, too, and he got to pick them up in his new Elmo Easter basket from Granna and Poppy! This time he didn't have any other kids to take his eggs! :-)
Sunday morning, Easter day, we went to the 8:00 am church service, which of course was amazing, then we came back home to do Jack's Easter basket. He wore khakis, a light blue collared shirt, and a navy sweater vest! He looked so precious!
One of his toys was a bubble gun, and he loved it!
We then went over to Papa and Sherbo's house for lunch and more hunting of eggs! Uncle Tay and Aunt Cat were there, too, so we were glad to also spend some time with them.
Here Jack is opening his Easter basket from Papa and Sherbo
Family photo!
His third egg hunt! He even got lots of help from his Uncle Tay!
After Jack got a good nap in at Papa and Sherbo's, we went over to Daddy Mer and Mama Becky's house for dinner! We were glad Uncle Jeff (well, Jack calls him "Ralph" for some reason), Aunt Amy, Cousin Jake, and Cousin Brooke were there, too! We had dinner and then did another egg hunt! Jack was a pro by now!
The eggs were all hidden in 3 different areas for all 3 kids, so here Jack is going first
We then walked around and helped Jake and Brooke with theirs!
Jack got an Easter basket from Daddy Mer and Mama Becky, too!
Jack's 2nd Easter was a blast! We had a great time all week telling him about the true meaning of Easter and what Jesus did for him. He's even a pro now at singing "Jesus Loves Me" all by himself, and hopefully we can continue to teach him everyday about how much Jesus really does love him and how He died for him.
We appreciate all our families for the wonderful meals and sweet baskets of goodies for Jack this Easter. We are so blessed to have such wonderful families who love us so much.
