A Year In Review...

Our sweet Jack turned 1 this past weekend! It is so hard to believe how fast time flies! He has been such a joy and we are so blessed he is a healthy and perfect little angel! Here are some sweet pictures from his first year...

Jim and Katie's Wedding

This past weekend, Jim Teel and Katie Wilson got married! We traveled up to Fort Payne on Friday for the festivities and had a great time!

Friday night was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Everything at the dinner was over and beyond gorgeous! Everyone even had a menu on their plate with detailed descriptions of the food! There was also a cheesecake buffet (which I sadly had to miss out on thanks to our P90X strictness), and the music was provided by the Lamb family! Everything was so nice!

(Our camera died, so it's from my phone and not the best quality, sorry)

On Saturday, Jim and his dad set up a breakfast and clay shoot for all the boys involved in the wedding or just in town for it. I hate I don't have any pictures from it, but Kurt said they had a great time!

While they were doing manly things, I was at a luncheon provided by the groom's mother, Mrs. Jane Teel. She took her mother, sister, and some close friends out to lunch, plus she invited me and another groomsman's wife, Jenna Layson. We went to the Wildflower Cafe and Country Store in Mentone, AL (about 30 miles north of Fort Payne), and it was a lot of fun! The food was really good, too.

The wedding was at 6:30 at First Methodist Church in downtown Fort Payne. The ceremony was beautiful and very sweet, and everything went very smoothly.

The reception was held at the bride's parent's home just a few miles away from the church. Their house has several acres of land surrounding it, so it was a perfect place for an outdoor reception.

(We hungout with them the entire weekend and got to know them really well! They are a lot of fun and we were glad to become better friends with them!)

Thanks to Jim, Katie, and their families for including us in their special day! We love them and are excited for them as they start their lives together!

We also thank Daddy Mer and Mama Becky for coming with us to Fort Payne to help keep Jack while we attended all the festivities! It was easier for us to go alone to some of the events, so we really appreciate all they did to help us out! We love y'all very much!

AU Baseball Tournament

Last weekend we went down to Auburn for Kurt's birthday golf outing. For one of his birthday gifts, I got a bunch of the guys in his family and some of his friends to play golf together at Grand National to celebrate his 28th birthday! Yes, his birthday was May 19th, but this was the first time we could get everyone together. They all had a great time, and Kurt even got to show off his new clubs Jack had gotten him for his birthday! :-)

While we were down there, we also decided to go see Auburn baseball play in their NCAA regional tournament. We went Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday afternoon, and even though Jack didn't make it to much of the games, we got some cute pictures while he was there! (Thanks again to Granna and Poppy for keeping him so we could stay out late to watch the games!)

Jack went to most of the game on Sunday afternoon. Here he is with his Pops.

Jack is also showing off his new trick here by showing us he's almost "1"! :-)

Auburn played pretty well for most of the weekend, and even won the Friday and Sunday games! They lost the next day to Clemson kicking them out of the tournament, but it was great that they got so far!
