Baby's First Christmas: Part 1

Jack has already had so much fun getting ready for his first Christmas! A couple of weekends ago we started our shopping, picked out our tree, and decorated our house! We tried to go get his picture with Santa, too, but so did everyone else, so we will try again this week or next week. I titled this "Part 1" because we will add more after Christmas to complete his very first Christmas experience!

All bundled up to go outside! It had snowed the night before!

Our tree! Jack slept through us picking it out, but he was still a part of it!

Jack putting up his little Auburn football player ornament!

Jack just chillin' in front of the tree while we finish decorating it and our house.

All dressed up for Christmas pictures!

Two Teeth!

I finally got a picture of Jack's two teeth!! He usually sticks his tongue out when I pull his bottom lip down, but this time he didn't! Such a big boy with teeth! :-)

Thanksgiving Fun

Happy Late Thanksgiving everyone! We had so much fun with all of our families! We had 4 get-togethers to go to and made it to all 4! Hallelujah! :-) We are so thankful for all of our families and what they mean to us and do for us. God has blessed us beyond measure and we love everyone so much!

This was, of course, Jack's first Thanksgiving, and even though he couldn't have all the yummy food, I'm sure he enjoyed it through his mommy. He had a good time with all the fun, even though he was a little puny from being sick! He's been stopped up and extra fussy lately, so we kept thinking it was just because he has TWO TEETH now!! We didn't think it was much else until I read something about continued congestion may also be a sign of an ear infection, so I took him to the doctor on Monday and yep, mommy was right! We got him started on an antibiotic and we hope to see some results soon.

We also had the Iron Bowl last week after Thanksgiving, and Jack slept pretty much the whole day at the tailgate! Maybe he had an insight Auburn would lose and he just didn't want to witness his Tigers lose his first Iron Bowl. Too bad he didn't see how awesome they played all game! He was still very proud of his Tigers and is looking forward to watching the bowl game now!

We took some great pictures of Jack and some family members during Thanksgiving!

His cousin Sydney loves his so much and teaches him all kinds of things I'm sure! :-)

#1 Auburn Fan!

Jack went to his very first Auburn football game this past weekend! He's been to every tailgate but one this season, but he hadn't been inside the stadium until the Homecoming game against Furman. It was probably the hottest day in November, so we only kept him in there for the first quarter, and then Granna came to get him and took him back to the tailgate. I don't think he had much fun, but he was still too young to fully appreciate where he was! He still is the cutest Auburn fan we know!

Best Friends

Last week our friends Daniel and Sarah Taylor came to stay with us and they brought their precious baby boy Noah David. Jack is only 6 days older than Noah David, so it was a lot of fun when Sarah and I were pregnant together! I was actually due about 2 weeks after Sarah, but Jack decided to come early and Noah David came late! So, needless to say, they were destined to be best friends!

Daniel and Sarah were in town because they had a work banquet to go to, so Kurt and I got to keep Noah David, and he and Jack had a blast playing!

Watching Noah David's Praise Baby DVD. They were mesmerized!

Playing ball in Jack's crib before we changed their diapers and clothes.

Noad David is playing in Jack's gym, while Jack is of course watching TV!

Tummy Time!

Jack was bored with tummy time, so he got in his Bumbo to play with his links.

Mommy's Birthday

Jack helped celebrate his mommy's 26th birthday last week! We first celebrated last Sunday night with Papa and Grandmama Sherry (since they have October birthdays as well).

We then went out Wednesday night to Firebirds to celebrate with friends. I am so thankful to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! I have the best friends ever!

On Friday, my actual birthday, we went to the mall for some birthday shopping, then to lunch with family at J. Alexander's, then to Auburn for dinner at Olive Garden with more family! I had such a great and special day, and I want to thank Kurt for all he and Jack did (along with my family and friends) to make this the best birthday ever! I even got my first "Happy Birthday Mommy" card! So sweet! I have had a wonderful and very blessed 26 years, and my life couldn't be any better than it is right now.

Happy Halloween!

Jack had a great first Halloween this past weekend! He dressed up as a "Jack"-O-Lantern and was the cutest and scariest one we've ever seen! He did take a nap in the middle of all the fun, but it's very exhausting being so cute. Jack was such a big helper to mommy and daddy with handing out candy and scaring the big kids. His first Halloween was definitely a blast and one to remember!

Getting ready...

Can you tell which one is Jack and which is the pumpkin? Hmm... they look the same to me!

Laughing about all those kids his daddy was outside scaring!

Fun times with the gargoyle...

That scarecrow doesn't scare him, and neither do the severed heads!

Lots to Cover

So much has been going on with us lately that I haven't been able to write much, so there is a lot to cover to catch you up.

Jack has been smiling for a while now, but just now started laughing out loud a week or two ago! It is the sweetest thing, and if you didn't get a chance to see the video we posted on Saturday, you'll want to check that out. Here are some sweet recent pictures of him smiling, though.

Here are some pictures from the last few Auburn games we've watched or gone to.

We've had lots of fun with Jack's great-grandparents, grandparents, and cousins lately.

His Poppy (Older Poppy)

His Mimi

His Daddy Mer and Mama Becky

His cousin Blakely

His cousin Brooke (helping give him his bottle! So sweet!)

Jack's 4 month checkup at the doctor was last week, and everything went really well! He now weighs 18 lbs 3 oz and is 25 inches long! Such a big boy! The doctor said he looks great and is very proud of our sweet boy!

Boo at the Zoo! We went this past Friday night to Boo at the Zoo and had a great time! We rode the Graveyard Train and Jack didn't get scared at all! :-) We also got some cute pictures of Jack in their pumpkin patch. We all had a spooktacular time! (Hey, I can be corny as a mom now!) :-)
