This past weekend we all went to the Auburn National Championship Celebration down in Auburn. It was at the stadium on Saturday and it was general admission, so of course we had to go!
Saturday morning, as we were getting ready, Jack wandered off into Aunt Chrissie's room, and before we knew it, he was climbing backwards into Chrissie's dog's kennel! It was the funniest thing! Chrissie's dog Bella didn't find it so funny, though! :-)
We finally started to get ready and of course had to put on our National Championship gear! We then headed to the stadium and here are some pictures of the event!
Having fun with Granna, Auntie Em, and Uncle Clay
"War Eagle! Fly down the field..."
Kisses with Auntie Em
Almost nap time
The BCS Trophy!
Just talking with Granna
Getting bored, but enjoying his Auburn (aka "Bahkburn") paci!
In Jack's words, "Warrrrrrr...Hey!"
After the celebration, we went to the Auburn vs Alabama basketball game! We knew it would be a close game, plus Alabama was giving us back the Iron Bowl Trophy! While we were there we sat right behind Stan White, and here he is getting a picture with Jack's cousin Jake!
The team receiving the trophy!
After the basketball game, we went out to eat with Kurt's family, then Jack went back to Granna and Poppy's house to sleep, while Kurt and I went out to downtown Auburn to see what was going on! :-) We'd read on Twitter to try out Piccolo, the restaurant/lounge in the Auburn Hotel and Conference Center, so we headed that way. On the way there we saw Toomer's after it had been rolled because of the celebration, and it looked awesome as usual!
We had a great time at Piccolo and even met some new friends (plus saw Trooper Taylor and Curtis Luper), then after we left there, we headed to 17/16 because we heard some football players were there! Right when we walked in we saw Kodi Burns (love him!), then eventually saw more and I got my picture made with them! It was Jeffrey Whitaker, Emory Blake, Clint Moseley, AJ Green, and Nosa Eguae! What a fun night!
The next day we had to head back home, but on our way back we stopped at Granny and Granddaddy's for lunch. Before we headed over there, though, Jack wanted to take a nap, but when we had to wake him up to leave, he stayed asleep in daddy's arms for a few minutes! He was not ready to get up! So sweet!
Once we got over there, he was fully awake and ready to play! He loves to play on their land with every ball they have available! He will even go chase one to bring back if it goes too far!
Besides playing, though, he loves sitting with Granddaddy eating Kit Kats! :-)
