Moody City Fair

This past Wednesday night we took Jack to the fair here in Moody! When we got there he could barely contain his excitement!

They had the typical food you see at a fair (corn dogs, funnel cakes, candy apples, etc), so we of course started out with a corn dog, but were too full to try anything else (yes, very disappointing!)

Jack loved all the options of rides and games to play, but just didn't know where to start! The closest thing to the food carts was the bunny pen, so he looked at those a while and even got to pet one!

After he realized he couldn't get inside the pen and chase around the bunnies, he saw the carousel, so we bought some tickets and rode that first.

Next to the carousel was the kiddie boat ride, then the kiddie motorcycle ride, so he rode both of those, twice!

Across from these rides were the games, so Jack played a game where you pick a duck out of the water (each duck has a prize listed on the bottom), and his prize was a small prize, so we picked out a train whistle for him. The other game was a fishing game, and his prize there was a balloon bat! He loved that it was a balloon AND a bat!

At the end of the game booths was a kiddie roller coaster, and even though I was sure someone his size wouldn't be able to ride it, I was wrong, and since he kept insisting to ride the "choo choo", we let him! That was a huge step for us as parents, especially since I was scared to death the whole time he was on it, but he held on like he was supposed to, and lasted longer than we thought he would! Such a big boy!

After Jack was done riding his rides, there were enough tickets for Mommy and Daddy to each ride one ride, so I chose the swings and Kurt chose the ride the Tilt-A-Whirl. We both loved it and enjoyed bringing out the kid in us! :-)

We are glad Jack's first fair experience was a fun one and can't wait to go back next year!

Here is a video montage from the night...
