Bye Bye Paci!

Yes!!  The dreaded event has come and gone and we are thrilled!  Jack has finally given up his paci and is doing great!  We noticed a couple of weeks ago that it had 3 holes in it, so we kept telling Jack how yucky it was to have a broken paci, so he went to the trash can and threw it away like a big boy!  That night wasn't so bad, but the next few days and nights were the hardest!  He didn't nap at all the next few days, and it took him about an hour and a half to get to sleep at night, but after a week and a half he finally got used to it and has been doing so much better!  He still sleeps with his froggy, but we are ok with that!  We just needed him to get rid of paci for his teeth and also because he's such a big boy!  We tell him everyday how proud we are of him that he's such a big boy since he threw away paci and is going to the bathroom in the big boy potty! We can't believe how fast our little man is growing up!

Jack has Moves like Jagger

Jack loves to dance, I don't think that's a surprise to anyone, but his dance moves are very unique and pretty awesome!  He's hilarious when he dances, too, because he puts so much personality into it!  He loves the music on the keyboard in our "music room" (what he calls it), and will just turn it on repeat and go to town!  Thanks to Sherbo for saying he had "Moves like Jagger"!  I thought that was a perfect blog title for these videos!  Enjoy!

Baby's Heartbeat!

Last Thursday I had my 13 week check-up at the doctor, and even though we didn't get another ultrasound to see the baby, we did get to hear the heartbeat for the first time!  It was such a wonderful sound, and we were so glad to be reassured there is a baby in there!  :-)  I'm just barely showing, so any indication (besides morning sickness) is nice! Kurt was able to go to the appointment with me this time, so he was glad to hear it too.  He even got a recording of it, but I don't know how to upload it, so maybe he can soon. The heartbeat was 150 bpm, so the doctor was very pleased with that and said everything else looks great up to this point!  We go back on April 12th (4 weeks from today) to find out boy or girl!  I can't wait!
